A federal appeals court in Denver ruled Thursday that the U.S. Forest Service and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service must consider limiting how many female grizzly bears may be killed to protect livestock under a plan to allow continued cattle grazing in the Wind River Range.
The bear hibernation season ends around March to April (the beginning of spring), so it's no surprise that there are more and more grizzly sightings lately at Yellowstone National Park.
In January of 2022 Governor Mark Gordon petitioned that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife service delist the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem (GYE) grizzly bear population.
