There is a large wildland fire reported south of Alcova, units from Natrona County Fire District, Bureau of Land Management, Carbon County and aviation resources were sent to the scene, according to the NC Fire District Facebook feed.
After a wildland fire in Natrona County yesterday that left one family displaced, the Natrona County Fire District has determined that the cause of the fire was due to an 'accidental unattended burn barrel.'
A wildfire is currently spreading east of Casper, near the Geary Dome Road area, past Evansville in Natrona County. Emergency personnel are currently on scene and are beginning evacuations of the area.
A release states that Casper-EMS was called to the area of the 1700 block of West First Street for a wildland fire. The statement says that crews arrived to find a fire burning in grass and light fuels on the north side of The Burlington Northern-Santa Fe rail line.
