It's a love story ... and she said yes! With a little help from Taylor Swift, that is.

According to our friends at AOL's theboot.com, just before her performance in Grand Rapids, Mich. Thursday night (July 28), the country songbird coached local radio personality 'Jason the 300lb Cowboy' through a surprise marriage proposal. The engagement was actually prompted by Taylor's mother, Andrea Swift (pictured in the group photo below, left), who once playfully teased the popular WYCD morning show host and his girlfriend, Kelli Siwik, for having dated so long.

"Next time I see you two, you'd better be engaged!" Mrs. Swift reportedly told the couple, while backstage at Taylor' Fearless Tour stop in Auburn Hills back in February of 2010.

During Taylor's Speak Now Tour stop at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids on Thursday night, Jason proved that he had taken Andrea's words to heart.

"The last time we saw you, you told us we'd better be engaged the next time you saw us," he told the surprised Swifts, reaching nervously into his pocket to produce a ring.

"Get down on your knee!" an exuberant Taylor urged the 300lb Cowboy, who joked that he might not be able to get back up.

Thankfully, his shocked girlfriend accepted the Swift-inspired proposal.

Taylor went on to perform a medley of songs by some of her favorite Michigan artists including Eminem's 'Lose Yourself' and Uncle Kracker's 'Smile.' Watch the performance below, and see more photos of the proposal here.
