Subway Duo Deliver Viral Taylor Swift ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ Violin Cover
If you have ever doubted that an edgy dubstep song could be perfectly performed by two violinists, then you'll want to watch the latest rendition of Taylor Swift's single 'I Knew You Were Trouble,' which was recently covered by two guys in their early twenties known as the Subway Violinists.
Rhett Price and Josh Knowles make up the subway-performing duo, according to Boston.com. They have been performing together since 2010, and they played Swift's single in a dingy subway station in Boston for over two hours -- much to the delight of commuters, who crowded around the pair, tossing money into the violin case and capturing videos with their phones.
Their video has definitely gone viral, with more than 250,000 views since its debut on April 6. It's a simple clip, with two guys dressed in street clothes with their violins. Yet when the music begins, it's clear their talent drives the video and their following, as they deliver 'I Knew You Were Trouble' with passion and technical perfection.
This isn't the first time one of Swift's songs has been covered, but it's certainly one of the most original. Maybe the songstress should consider adding these two talented musicians to her Red Tour, as they're certainly able to turn up the heat with their fantastic violin skills!
