Free Skates For Everyone At Wagon Wheel Roller Rink On Tuesday
If you've ever said the phrase "it's a good thing we didn't have phones with cameras and social media when I was young" to someone in the younger generation, it's likely that you spent time at the video arcade in the mall, renting movies at the video store, or meeting your friends at the roller skating rink.
Today in Casper, there's not much going on at the mall arcade, and there aren't any video stores, BUT there is still a roller skating rink with a video arcade. Wagon Wheel Roller Skating in Mills is still plugging along and giving kids, and those who are kids at heart, an opportunity to strap on a pair of skates and zip around the rink.
For the last few weeks, they've been closed, offering limited skating sessions while they make improvements and do maintenance to the building and the skating floor. If you follow them on Facebook, you've seen them giving a countdown until they're back to normal skating times, and kicking off a busy month of August.
The countdown clock is about to expire, and the skates will be rolling again beginning Tuesday (7/28). To welcome regular skating back, they are offering a FREE night of skating and have invited everyone to come with no admission fee and free skate rental.
As I mentioned, there is a busy calendar of skating in August.
- Tuesdays are family skate nights 6 pm - 8 pm
- Fridays are teen skate nights 7 pm - 10 pm
- Saturdays have three open skate sessions 12 pm - 2 pm, 3 pm - 5 pm, and 6 pm - 8 pm (except 8/22 when there is roller derby action with A'Salt Creek Roller Derby)
- Sundays, there is an open skate session from 1 pm - 3 pm
- Plus special adult skate sessions on 8/6 & 8/20
