[WATCH] Tourists Approach Massive Grizzly in Yellowstone

It literally hasn't been a week since Yellowstone National Park began opening roads for the season, and we already have our first case of wildlife vs. human.

Yellowstone National Park opened certain roads on Friday, April 15 and it seems tourist season is off to a rough start. There's a rule in YNP about staying at least 100 yards away from bears and wolves, and in a video posted on Instagram, you can clearly see that a few tourists violated that rule.

Here's the thing. Bears are coming out of hibernation and as a result, they're really hungry. The last thing you want to do is get between a grizzly bear and its food source.

In March, a Livingston resident had an encounter with a grizzly bear, and unfortunately, did not survive.

So, back to the video. Unofficial Networks shared it on Wednesday. It was posted on Instagram with the following caption.

Bears are out...so are the #tourons.

If you're wondering what a touron is, here's a description from Urban Dictionary.

The derogatory term combines the words "Tourist" with "Moron" to describe any person who, while on vacation, commits an act of pure stupidity.

After reading the description, we're pretty sure that "touron" is the accurate term for the people in the video below.

In all seriousness, this could've ended really badly. I understand that it can be exciting to see a grizzly bear, but it's not exciting when it's charging you at 30 mph. That grizzly could've closed the distance in a split second.

I might get a giant megaphone and head to YNP this summer and startle tourists when they commit an act of stupidity. It might be fun, but then again, I might get arrested.
