More hazardous travel is in the works for central Wyoming over the holiday weekend.

The National Weather Service in Riverton says between 5 and 10 inches of snow is predicted to fall in the Casper area beginning Friday afternoon through Saturday evening. Ten to 18 inches are possible on Casper Mountain.

Natrona County will be under a winter storm warning from 2 p.m. Friday through 6 p.m. Saturday.

The weather service says travel will be "very difficult" with poor visibility and blowing snow.

Forecasters predict that drizzle Friday afternoon could result in a layer of hidden ice below the snow.

Travel on Interstate 25 as well as US 26 and Wyoming 220 will be affected.
