No serious injuries were reported following two separate crashes Monday morning in which a school bus and a horse trailer rolled in opposite corners of Wyoming.

The City of Gillette said in a Facebook post that the Gillette Police Department responded to a school bus rollover on the Interstate 90 eastbound off-ramp at Highway 59.

Two people were on board the bus at the time of the crash, which occurred shortly before 6:45 a.m.

"No significant injuries," wrote Geno Palazzari, the city's communications manager.

About two and a half hours earlier, Bridger Valley Fire and EMS crews -- along with the Uinta County Sheriff's Office -- responded to milepost 39 on Interstate 80 for a report of a horse trailer which had rolled over with six horses inside. The driver was not injured.

Firefighters cut a hole in the roof of the trailer and got all six horses out successfully. The horses "appeared to be doing fine" afterward, according to Uinta County Fire and Ambulance.

A local rancher took a trailer to the scene and took the horses to a veterinarian to be examined.

A winter storm brought snow, ice and strong winds to highways across the state Sunday night into Monday, making for difficult and dangerous travel at times.

Interstate 80 from Laramie to Rawlins was closed overnight, though it reopened Monday morning. Portions of I-80 closed for shorter periods elsewhere.
