The Wyoming State Fair is proud to announce that country music star Jerrod Niemann will be performing in the Wyoming State Fair Grandstands on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. with Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers Band opening.

Neiman will bring his high energy show to close out the 103rd Wyoming State Fair. He exploded onto the scene with his chart-topping major-label debut Judge Jerrod & the Hung Jury in 2010. The album included the number one smash and RIAA-certified Platinum digital single, “Lover, Lover,” and top 5 single, “What Do You Want.” Niemann, who has also written songs for and with such artists as Garth Brooks, Blake Shelton, and Lee Brice – returned in 2012 with the acclaimed, musically adventurous release, Free the Music. All the while, he’s continued playing 200 shows a year on the road, year in and year out.

“Jerrod Niemann is a rising star in country music and we are excited to bring his high energy show to the state of Wyoming.” said James Goodrich, director of the Wyoming State Fair. “We’re excited to continue the momentum we built over the last few years by bringing another country music star to the Wyoming State Fair.”

On his most recent album High Noon, Niemann continues to pursue the innovative sonic approach that has defined his identity in today’s country music. Along with his many achievements in music, Niemann started the nonprofit organization Free the Music USA, an organization dedicated to supporting music education collecting used instruments for children and teens in need.

Opening for Niemann will be Wyoming’s own, Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers Band.

“Jerrod is a dynamic performer with a solid list of hits to his name already,” said Goodrich. “We couldn’t be happier that Jerrod Niemann and Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers Band will be closing out the 103rd Wyoming State Fair with a bang.”

The 103rd Wyoming State Fair will be held August 8-15, 2015.  For more information on the Wyoming State Fair, visit www.wystatefair.com.
