Summer Concerts And Hikes Make For A Perfect Wyoming Day

Summer plans are starting to take shape, especially in the Wyoming State Park system, with the announcement of performers for this year's Tunes on the Trail events. If you remember, a couple of months ago, we announced that the registration/application period was open to bands, solo artists, and musicians interested in performing.

The Wyoming Arts Council and the Wyoming Office of Outdoor Recreation have now made the decisions on who will be performing, and the lineup looks great. Each evening of the series, a guided hike will be available prior to the musical performance.  Each artist will perform a 90-minute set, made unique by the custom backdrop of Wyoming's beautiful landscape.

While standard day-use fees apply for park entry at Guernsey State Park and Seminoe State Park ($7 per vehicle for Wyoming residents and $12 per vehicle for non-residents) and general admission applies at South Pass City State Historic Site ($4 for Wyoming residents, $8 for non-residents, with free admission for kids 17 & under) the Tunes on the Trail events are free to attend. Entry to Hot Springs State Park is always free. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and explore the park to make the most of their visit.
