"Yellowstone," a popular TV series on the Paramount Network, and one of Dave & Ally's favorites, has been filming Season 4 in Montana. It was announced today by the casting directors that filming has wrapped for the season. There was actually one scene they were unable to finish due to snow, but plan to film that scene when they return for Season 5.

The series starring Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Cole Hauser, and Kelly Reilly centers on a sixth-generation Montana ranch family and all the twists and turns they encounter in their corrupt world.

Season 4 was the first season that was filmed entirely in Montana after the show moved from Utah due to higher filming costs. Shooting began in August and they looked for locals to participate in filming in Darby, Hamilton, and Missoula. Casting directors, Kelly Hunt and Tracy Dixon, held online casting calls for extras to use in filming throughout the season.

As the latest season wrapped they extended a thank you for all the extras:

From our perspective you rocked. You were all so kind, patient and extremely professional. With all the changes with weather, covid testing, last minute cancellations you never gave us grief. And we know how far some of you traveled to do the covid test and work for us. Again from the bottom of our hearts thank you.

For a chance at being an extra, you were required to send an email with a photo, your name, body measurements, your age, and your height. A COVID-19 test was also required if you were selected. The pay was $112 a day with a $35 payment for gas.

All indications are that the show will be back filming and recruiting extra in the spring of 2021 for Season 5. To keep tabs on casting, follow Yellowstone Extras on Facebook.

Based on the release date of previous seasons, fans should be expecting Season 4 to be released in June of 2021.
