A Video Reminder of How Fast Wyoming Pronghorn Can Run
It's a common thing around Natrona County to see pronghorn grazing in fields and sometimes in your front yard. One guy got a reminder that pronghorn can really haul once they hit full speed.
David Peel shared this video on Vimeo. He was driving alongside some pronghorn when they decided to take off. Really take off.

As the Treehugger website said, pronghorn deer can easily reach 55 mph at a full sprint and can maintain a high speed for over 20 miles. A cheetah has nothing on a pronghorn. Seriously.
Next time you see them standing still as you drive around Natrona County, make no mistake that they can and will hit hyper speed if needed.
