PHOTOS: August Flowers In Full Bloom Above Chugwater, Wyoming

Nature works in cycles.

Out West, we have just come to the end of a long drought.

Now, the rain just won't stop falling.

This has led to one of the greenest summers these Western states have seen in a long time.

That also means lots of bright colorful flowers.

Above Chugwater Wyoming is a plateau of farms and ranches, along with a few old nuclear missile silos.

Among those farms are fields of sunflowers.

It's mid-August, 2023.

Wyoming has had one of the wettest springs, and summers, it has seen in decades.

The plateau is in bloom.
