And The CMA Winners Are…
In case you missed the 47th Annual CMA Awards, and still don’t know if your favorite artist took home the trophy, we have a list of winners that’ll tell you who the winners are, and they are…
For Musician of the Year: * Mac McAnally
For Both Musical Event and Video of the Year: Highway Don’t Care-Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban
For Vocal Duo of the Year: Florida Georgia Line (no shocker there!)
For Vocal Group of the Year: Little Big Town
For New Artist of the Year: Kacey Musgraves
For Female Vocalist of the Year: Miranda Lambert
For Make Vocalist of the Year: Blake Shelton (nice to have his and her awards!)
For Single of the Year: “Cruise” Florida Georgia Line
Song of the Year “I Drive Your Truck” Jessi Alexander, Connie Harrington and Jimmy Yeary
For Album of the Year: “Based on a True Story” Blake Shelton (who can brag that he has one more award than his wife!)
And…the crème de la crème…For Entertainer of the Year: George Strait. (I guess it’s only right, since he’s retiring from touring.)
Now some of my predictions were a little off, in fact, most of them! Even though this is George Strait’s last shot at Entertainer of the Year, I really thought it was going to go to Jason Aldean. When it came to Group of the Year, even though I was really glad that Little Big Town took it home, I really thought it would’ve been The Band Perry toting that trophy home. As far as Song of the Year, I really thought that Wagon Wheel would’ve nabbed that honor.
What CMA winner predictions did you make that didn’t happen?
