Most of us wake up every morning, go to work, come home and try to relax from a hard days work by watching T.V. possibly going for a workout before we head home. But there is something we are doing at work that may be shortening our lives.

There was a study that came out back in 2010 linking people who had to do quite a bit of physical activity during their job were actually at a higher risk for dying earlier than most of us with desk jobs.

How could that be? I thought that physical activity was supposed to be good for the body. According to a study that was done between 1960-2010 has some pretty interesting findings. Especially for those of us in the cowboy state since a lot of us either work in physically demanding jobs, or have friends/family who have those types of jobs.

I found this article on the website Ladders where they go further into detail about Dr. Coehen's research about this topic and the 193,000 people that were looked at for research purposes.

It's also worth mentioning that there is a huge difference between working out for pleasure and doing that kind of work out non-sense for a 9-5 job.
