The 2015 Festival Choir & Orchestra Concert will take place at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church on Saturday, December 12 at 7:30 pm. The show begins with the Phoenix Ringers Handbell Choir playing, as people gather for the 7:30 performance followed by pieces by the Oil City Barbershop Chorus, the woodwind quintet of Delores Thornton, flute; Janice Moffatt, oboe; Doug Moffatt, clarinet; Richard Turner, bassoon; and Pamela Glasser, horn; and cellist Christine Dunbar.

The Festival Orchestra will perform Michael W. Smith’s “It’s A Wonderful Christmas,” and the Festival Choir will perform the a cappella work, Randall Thompson’s “Alleluia,” in its 75th anniversary year.
The Choir will also sing arrangements by Mark Hayes, John Rutter, Dan Forrest, Craig Courtney, and Omar Norton, with accompaniments by piano, brass, strings, woodwinds, percussion, and full orchestra.

A free will offering will be accepted. For information, call Director Carolyn Deuel at 265-1564.
