Looking for something a little different for Christmas? How about spending an evening with "America's Favorite Cowboys", as Riders In The Sky bring their Christmas show to Casper on December 3rd, presented by ARTCORE.

Many folks will recognize the group from the "Woody's Round-Up" theme from the movie "Toy Story 2", but in fact the multi-Grammy group comprised of Ranger Doug, Too Slim, Woody Paul, and Joey the Cow Polka King has been around for quite a spell, including the long-running radio show "Riders Radio Theater" and a kids TV show, according to their website.

"For more than thirty years Riders In The Sky have been keepers of the flame passed on by the Sons of the Pioneers, Gene Autry and Roy Rogers, reviving and revitalizing the genre. And while remaining true to the integrity of Western music, they have themselves become modern-day icons by branding the genre with their own legendary wacky humor and way-out Western wit, and all along encouraging buckaroos and buckarettes to live life "The Cowboy Way!""

The Riders In The Sky Holiday show, "Christmas the Cowboy Way", blends together a festive mix of western music classics, traditional Christmas music, and Riders' original yuletide carols including "Riding Home On Christmas Eve," "Deck The Bunkhouse Walls," and "The Last Christmas Medley You'll Ever Need To Hear."  It also features their own unique brand of cowboy humor, and sometimes a sing-along to some  traditional tunes.

"We don't have an entirely scripted show," said Ranger Doug, "there's a flow to it, but we might come up with anything. You never know."
