Bret Michaels is coming to the Casper Event Center on November 6th to kick off his multi-city Hometown Heros Tour.

Part of the purpose of this tour is to take time to honor heroes in every city where Bret Michaels performs. The lineup for the event includes artists from several genres and will be a night to remember for not only the crowd but for five community members that have been nominated by friends and/or family. Here is what Bret Michaels said about the experience.

While on tour, every night I bring local heroes up on-stage to honor them during the show and we’ll continue to do so at these shows.  It’s important to me that we recognize veterans, first responders, teachers and people who are making a difference in their communities.

Becky Fleming was nominated by her friend Erica and is an ER nurse at the Wyoming Medical Center. Becky is also a sexual assault nurse examiner, specializing in the care of sexually assaulted patients.

When asked why she nominated Becky Erica said "She works very hard and wears many different hats."

Take a few moments to listen to what Becky's reaction was when Erica called her to tell her she was a winner, and to learn why Becky is so passionate about her work.

We loved how excited Becky is about meeting Bret Michaels, and how passionate she is about her work.

I love being a nurse...If you ever feel depressed or sad or whatever, do something for somebody else, help somebody else. The reaction you get from them is so much better than anything else you can do. Nursing to me is a selfish act. Nursing gives me more than it gives my patients!

It is clear that Becky is one of those people that truly enjoys what she does, and I am positive that her patients can feel that from her when they are in her care.

Thank you for serving our community Becky, we can't wait for you to meet Bret Michaels!
