Casper Gas Prices Finally Dip Below the Two Dollar Mark
If you've been waiting for our gas in Casper to drop below the $2 dollar mark, there is good news this morning as stations around town. $1.95 a gallon gasoline was spotted this morning near I-25 and Wyoming Blvd.
Both the Flying J and cross street competitor Common Cents Exxon stations, were advertising regular unleaded gas for $1.95.
Casper finally joins several other Wyoming communities enjoying sub-two dollar gasoline at the pump. Casper also finally edges lower that the national average price for regular gasoline with holds at $2.05 a gallon. Average price around Casper was $2.06, prior to today's price adjustment. A year ago, Casper's average gasoline price was $2.94 a gallon. That means Casper motorists are enjoying a $.99 cent price difference from what we were paying for gasoline this time last year.
According to AAA, the national price for gasoline is now below the $2 mark for regular unleaded at more than half of the gas stations in the USA.
Missouri has the lowest state average in the country at $1.75 today. Followed by Oklahoma @ $1.79, Kansas @ $1.80, Texas @ $1.83 and New Mexico @ $1.86.
