Keep Casper Beautiful and the Casper Artists’ Guild are looking for artists in Natrona County to decorate five traffic signal cabinets with original artwork, according to a news release.

The two organizations are hosting a contest to select the art, with the winning works transformed into vinyl wraps that will cover the cabinets.

Artists may submit original works of art, and they are not restricted to a theme.

However, the organizations suggest themes of rebirth, western, landscape, abstract, and photography.

Works can be drawings, photographs, manipulated photographs, or any work that can be printed digitally. The contest is open to any artist who resides or goes to school in Natrona County.

Submissions will be accepted at ART 321 from now until April 26.

A panel of judges will select four works to adorn the cabinets.

The public will choose the fifth work by voting during the Art Walk from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. May 2.

Winning artists will be paid a $200 fee for the use of their work. Artists will maintain the rights to the work.

The call is available on the Guild’s website.

Since its inception in 2016, the traffic wrap program has decorated 14 traffic signal cabinets with the work of local artists.
