If you hear a loud buzzing sound on Friday and Saturday in Casper, you're missing out on a huge weekend of racing at Casper Speedway.

When the ASCS Northern Plains & ASCS Western Plains 360 Sprint cars are in town, the track will have hot racing action you won't want to miss. You'll be blown away if you're a dirt track racing fan and haven't seen sprint cars in action. These drivers are zipping around the track at high rates of speed and drifting around the corners like they're on glass.

The sprint cars will come from all over the region. Colorado, Utah, South Dakota, and Montana will all be represented during these two days of racing. Not only will the sprint cars be there, but you will also see Midwest Modifieds, Hobby, Dwarf, and Sport Compact Classes. All that racing will be worth the price of admission, and you only have to drive up the hill from Casper to see it.

Here's a look at ticket prices:

  • Adults - $20
  • Seniors, Military, and First Responders - $15
  • Kids 12 and under - FREE.

Earlier this month, track promoter Chris McAuley posted on social media that the track would be cutting down the schedule for this summer due to the low car numbers. The number of races will be limited, so you want to ensure you're following along to find out when a race will occur.

Supporting the track, drivers, and promoters during an event is the best way to ensure that racing continues.
