Casper’s ‘Holiday Square’ Tree Lighting Set For November 18th
It's a Casper tradition and a free, fun way to kick off the Holiday Season. The Holiday Square Tree Lighting will take place this year on Sunday, November 18th, transforming Conwell Park into wonderland of Holiday lights.
"From the windows of Wyoming Medical Center, patients and their families enjoy the beauty of the holidays and, in the park below, children play, couples take romantic walks, and families create lasting memories," according to Keep Casper Beautiful.
The event will features visits with Santa, an outdoor patio with a food vendor, and free hot cocoa and cookies while supplies last. The Ice Princess, Snow Queen and Belle from Dream Upon a Princess will also be there.
The fun starts at 4:00 p.m. with the annual Reindeer Relay, which benefits the Angels Cancer Care program. The lighting ceremony happens at about 5:00 p.m.. Although they do have a countdown clock, the actual lighting may happen a little before or after that mark so organizers say it's a good idea to be there at least ten minutes beforehand.
