LARAMIE -- The University of Wyoming announced the 2023-24 basketball schedule on Wednesday morning.

The 31-game regular season schedule features 14 home contests inside the Arena-Auditorium with seven of those contests played on a Saturday.

Mountain West national television partners CBS Sports and FOX Sports are now in a selection procedure, which will include the shifting of games from their current dates. Additional announcements on television selections will be made soon along with game times.

The Cowboys will host Metro State in an exhibition contest in the Arena-Auditorium on Oct. 27 before hosting Northern New Mexico in the season opener on Nov. 6. The Pokes will then host Cal Poly on Nov. 11.

Wyoming will head to the Myrtle Beach Invitational from Nov. 16-19 and open play on Nov. 16 against Saint Louis. Wyoming will then face College of Charleston or Vermont and close the tournament on Nov. 19.

Wyoming will play a pair of road contests heading to Big 12 foe Texas on Nov. 26 and then head to Portland on Dec. 1. Wyoming will then play three-straight home games hosting South Dakota School of Mines on December 5. The Pokes will play Saturday contests against Stephen F. Austin on December 9 and Weber State on Dec. 16.

UW will head to the Don Haskins Sun Bowl invitational on Dec. 21-22. UW faces South Dakota State in the opener and either Norfolk State or host UTEP on Dec. 22.

The Pokes close out non-conference play with a trip to BYU on Dec. 30.

Wyoming opens Mountain West play at home on Jan. 2 hosting San Jose State. Wyoming will face off against Fresno State (Jan. 13), Nevada (Jan. 20) and a Broder War date with Colorado State on Jan. 27 in home contests in the month of January. The Pokes play at New Mexico, Utah State, San Diego State and Air Force in January.

In the month of February, the Pokes face New Mexico (Feb. 6), Utah State (Feb. 13), Boise State (Feb. 23) and UNLV (Feb. 27) in home contests. The Pokes will play on the road during the month at UNLV, San Jose State and Nevada.

Wyoming closes the season in March with a trip to Colorado State on March 2. The Pokes will host Air Force in the home finale on March 5 and close out the regular season at Fresno State on March 9.

The MW Championship will once again be held at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas from March 13-16.
