Does Wyoming’s Top Dog Breed Of Choice Surprise You?
The U.S. Census Bureau has released information about pets in the United States and found that dogs are the #1 pet. Forty-nine million households have at least one dog, and 51% of pet owners view them the same way they would a human member of the family.
There's no doubt that dogs are important to families, and some people don't care what breed of dog they have as long as they can hug their furry friend. Some dog owners are breed loyal and will only have a particular breed of dog giving them doggy kisses.
Which dog breeds are the most loved in the Country?
It may surprise many, but according to surveys, the breed most loved across the Country is the Chihuahua. The French Bulldog, Golden Retriever, German Shepherd, and Shih Tzu followed them, rounding out the top five.
The Chihuahua isn't the most popular breed in Wyoming, but it's not far from the top of the list. Wyoming, along with four other states, Montana, Alaska, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, shares the German Shepherd as its most popular dog breed.
It makes sense that the German Shepherd is Wyoming's most popular breed. They share many characteristics with Wyomingites.
