Fire Causes $125K Damage to Garage, Home in Cheyenne

Luckily, no one was injured when a car caught fire inside a Cheyenne garage this (Monday) morning.

City of Cheyenne spokesman Scott Smith says firefighters were called to the 800 block of Windmill Road around 10:45 a.m. and had the fire under control in just eight minutes.

"The one occupant in the home was able to safely exit," Smith said in a press release.

"Damage to the garage including the adjacent house to the south was estimated at $125,000," he added.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
