After the exciting news of the birth of the latest royal baby, the royal family is one everyone's mind. But do you ever wonder who would be in the "Royal Family" in Wyoming? Here are five people either from Wyoming, or who live in Wyoming that we would consider crowned Wyoming royalty.

Curt Gowdy
ESPN BroadcasterBorn in Green River, Wyoming, a UW Alumn and a prominent radio sports caster both in the state and nationally, Curt Gowdy left his mark on the Cowboy State and even has a National Park just outside of Laramie bearing his name. In fact, our station, Y95 Country was founded by Gowdy. He passed away in 2006 after a battle with leukemia.

Richest Person in WyomingThe wife of the late John T. Walton, heir to the Walton fortune of Walmart, Christy Walton lives in Teton Village, Wyoming, just outside of Jackson Hole. She is estimated to be worth approximately $7.1 billion, and is nearly true royalty with a family dynasty worth over $145 billion.

Dick Cheney
Former Vice PresidentServing from 2001 - 2009 as Vice President, Dick Cheney was raised in Casper, WY and many buildings, sports fields, and monuments in Wyoming bare his name. His family appears to be heading in the direction of a political dynasty, with his daughter Liz Cheney being elected to the House of Representatives for the Cowboy State in 2016.

Chris LeDoux
Country Artist and Rodeo ChampionHailing from Kaycee, Wyoming and still the namesake for the Chris LeDoux Days in his home town, Chris made a name for himself as a rodeo star and a country star before his untimely death at the age of 56 from a battle with cancer. His son, Ned LeDoux has carried on the mantle of country singer in his father's honor.

Actor and PilotWith his imposing home near Jackson Hole, Wyoming dubbed "The Falcon Ranch," this actor not only spends his leisure time in the Cowboy State, but he also assists with the Teton County Search & Rescue with his own plane and helicopter, and has rescued lost hikers from the Tetons.
