Four Wyoming Players Will Play in CanAm Bowl 25 on Saturday in Canada
CanAm Bowl XXV is on Saturday in Alberta, Canada, as Team USA faces Team Canada in an all-star 6-man football game.
Team USA is comprised of some of the best 6-man players from Colorado, Montana, Nebraska, Texas, and Wyoming.
There are four players from the Cowboy State on the 2023 roster.
Little Snake River’s David Hernandez, Hadley Myers, and Kannadis Peroulis, plus Clayton Rux of Dubois were selected to this all-star team.
The 25th annual CanAm Bowl is on July 8, 2023, at 1 p.m. in Hanna, Alberta.
The teams gathered in Lambert, MT, for practices on July 3. They are practicing two or three times a day through July 6 and then leave for Alberta on July 7.
The coaching staff for Team USA features two connections to Wyoming. Former Farson-Eden assistant coach Scott Reed and Little Snake River assistant coach Sam Weeldreyer are part of the staff. They are joined by Oakwood, TX coach Thomas Tritz.

Team USA defeated Team Canada, 71-30, in the 24th CanAm Bowl played last year in Lambert, MT. The game returned in 2022 after a two-year hiatus for Covid reasons. That was the first time the game was played in America. The previous 23 games were played in Canada.
Team USA leads the all-time series, 19-5.
The CanAm Bowl began in July of 1997 when an American all-star team made the trip to Canada to play a Saskatchewan all-star team in Porcupine Plain, Saskatchewan, hosted by Bjorkdale. The USA won that inaugural game, 40-22. The two sides played every year through 2019.
