The Beartrap Summer Festival hits the meadow August 4th and 5th, 2012. This year's talent is unsurpassed and we're all getting really excited! We know you're well aware of our headliners, but in this feature we'd like to shed some light on another one of our fantastic groups - Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen.

Frank Solivan, founder of the group that bears his name, spent his formative years in the wilds of Alaska. Frank is not only a superb musician with an uncanny knack for bringing out the best in any instrument, but he is also a gifted poet and songwriter, avid outdoorsman (as you might expect), and a gourmet chef. When pooling all of these talents together and adding them to the formidable skills of his bandmates; the result is a recipe for true bluegrass magic. Be prepared to watch him go off and maybe even holler "Son!" when getting in a great lick or falling under our Beartrap spell.

Other members of the group include:

Munford, Banjoist Extraordinaire. You know when they only have one name that they have to be good! Munford hails from the "bluegrass hotbed of Baltimore and D.C.," and has earned the respect of all who have come to know and have played with him. He's a master of technique and his love for the instrument never fails to shine through his performances.

Danny Booth, Upright Bass. Danny is the newest addition to the Dirty Kitchen, but he's known Frank since their early performing days in Alaska. Danny is a powerful singer in his own right, and adds wonderful background and harmonies to the group. He's also toured with other notable bluegrass acts such as Spring Creek and Bearfoot, both of which have previously been seen at the Beartrap Summer Music Festival

Chris Luquette, Acoustic Guitar. Chris hails from Seattle, Washington. He's young, but eclectic. Chris has studied multiple styles and genres of music, including Brazilian Jazz with Seattle-based Brazil music legend, Jovino Santos Neto. He plays multiple instruments and also fronts his own band, Northern Departure.

Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen take to the Nabors Drilling Stage Sunday, August 5th, at 1:00 p.m. Purchase your tickets online for the first time ever, and at a discount, at beartrapsummerfestival.com. Online ticket sales end on July 30th, so get yours now!
