Join The Fun In Central Wyoming For Fireworks And Family Activities
It's hard to believe, but we're already almost to the 4th of July, and you're probably planning what you'll do. One thing you won't be doing is letting off fireworks in or around Casper.
Consumer fireworks are illegal year-round in Natrona County.
Of course, you have options to see fireworks shows in Casper. The Ford Wyoming Center will host its annual fireworks display. It may be a little bit different this year, but you can still watch them in the parking lot.
You can head to Casper Speedway and see hot racing action and fireworks.
OR, you can head to Mike Lansing Field and watch the Casper Spuds play, eat hot dogs and popcorn, have a cold one or two, then head out on the field to watch the fireworks.
Perhaps you're considering heading to Alcova for live music, food, and fireworks.
Now, if you're dead-set on launching your fireworks, you can head to Glenrock for the annual 4th of July fireworks at South Rec. Bonus, they're adding a second night, July 5th.
Here's how it works:
- You can take your family and friends to the South Recreation Complex, on the South side of I-25, and you can launch your fireworks from 7 p.m. to Midnight.
- The Glenrock Fire Department will be at the gate and point you in the proper direction.
- There's a designated "fireworks lighting area," and only two people from your party will be allowed to be your designated lighting crew.
- We all know that kids love sparklers, so they will have a designated sparkler area between the ball fields where you can take them.
It's rare for a town to offer an option like this, so if you're interested, head to Glenrock. Be safe, be courteous, follow the rules, and have a great time.
