Scary Times Ahead In Casper At The Platte River Ghost Ship
When the calendar flips to October, things get spooky. If you're like me, the appeal of scary movies and shows really becomes stronger around Halloween. You may also be drawn to deeper, darker, and more terrifying forms of entertainment. If that's the case, you should head out to the 6th Annual Haunted Barn, which the Natrona County Trailbusters 4-H club presents.
This year, the Platte River Ghost Ship will offer haunts for the whole family, October 24 - 26, and October 31 - November 2. You know things are going to get out of control when you mix the thrill and chill of late October, the already spooky Halloween excitement, and the fall fun that's always associated with the Haunted Barn.
On opening night, October 24, if you bring a canned food item, your entry tickets will cost only $5. On the other nights, entry tickets are just $10 cash. You'll also be able to kick back by the fire pits, while nibbling on a cookie, and sipping on Pepsi, Hot Cocoa, or Apple Cider for free, while you're waiting for your turn at getting scared aboard the Platter River Ghost Ship.
If you have kids who are a little too young for a big scare like that, there's a petting zoo and face painting, then on Halloween Night (October 31), there will be 'Scare-Free Trick-Or-Treating from 5 to 6 pm.
This annual event serves as a fundraising opportunity for 4-H kids to support projects and activities throughout the year. When you're getting spooked, the scary shipmates are from the Buckaroos 4-H, NCHS Thespians, and Windy City FFA. Everyone lends a hand at this fun event.
