IHOP Serves Up Free Flapjacks On National Pancake Day
I don't know about you, but I think I know where I'm eating breakfast on February 28th. Here I come, IHOP! I'm ready to help you celebrate National Pancake Day and at the same time, support The Children's Hospital. My mouth's practically drooling already.
IHOP's so cool. From 7 a.m. until 10 p.m on Tuesday, February 28th, they're going to offer everyone a FREE short stack of their light, bouncy, perfectly-browned pancakes. As part of this lip-smacking gesture, they hope that you will help raise awareness with a donation towards Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. It really is a small price to pay to help a lot of youngsters in our community, who might not otherwise get the treatment they need. And boy is it ever gonna taste sweet!
If you would like to get the ball rolling a little earlier, just visit their donation and information page.
Just a few fun facts, because they're fun:
- IHOP served four million free pancakes on National Pancake Day 2011 and pancake lovers donated more than $2.5 million to children's charities, exceeding the fundraising goal of $2.3 million.
- All of the pancakes served on National Pancake Day 2011 would create a stack nearly 16 miles high.
- Since the inception of National Pancake Day in 2006, IHOP has raised almost $8 million and given away more than 14 million pancakes to support charities in the communities in which it operates.
- National Pancake Day 2011 was IHOP's largest one-day event in the company's 53-year history.
See...now weren't those fun?! And for more fun, don't forget to join IHOP for National Pancake Day 2012 on February 28th.
