It's not an easy job.

There's a chance you'll be away from your family and miss important dates like birthday's and holiday's.

The best part is, that you're going to make pretty good money being a roughneck, operator, driver or technician.

It takes a special kind of person to work in the oil fields.

These dudes and dudettes are bad mamba-jamba's and don't get as much recognition as they deserve.

Wyoming is number seven on the highest oil producing states.

  1. Texas
  2. North Dakota
  3. New Mexico
  4. Colorado
  5. Alaska
  6. California
  7. Wyoming
  8. Kansas
  9. Louisiana
  10. Utah

There are 148,610 people employed in the Oil & Gas industry all over the United States. The number of workers has dropped quite a bit since 2014, but the industry is still the driving force in six of the 50 states.

Tough days, with long hours and not in ideal conditions most of the time. Heat, cold, wind, rain, snow and ice, can make an already tough job, even tougher.

Wyoming relies on the gas & oil industry, tourism, agriculture and manufacturing to be prosperous every year. Without the men and women of the oil industry, Wyoming would be in trouble.
