Duals Midweek, Hardware on the Line by Weekend for Wyoming Grapplers
It’s a typical wrestling weekend for Wyoming high school grapplers. Week 5 features several dual competitions Tuesday through Thursday before the weekend brings tournament action, whether that’s an invitational or team duals. Casper, Green River, Newcastle, Shoshoni, and Pavillion hold bigger wrestling tournaments. Casper has the Trojan Border Wars for boys and Jerry Quinlan for girls. Green River hosts the Thoman Dual Tournament for boys’ teams and an invitational for girls.
WYOPREPS WEEK 5 WRESTLING SCHEDULE 2026
Newcastle, Pavilion, and Shoshoni also have wrestling invitationals that feature a medium-sized field. Newcastle is a one-day invite for boys. Shoshoni hosts the Clash at the Crossroads for both, and the 47th annual Don Runner Memorial is at Pavillion. All schedules are subject to change. A few more details for each event will be added once some technical errors are fixed.

Green River went 3-0 and won Pool A. Pinedale was also 3-0 and won Pool C. Uintah (UT) won Pool B with a 3-0 record. Uintah 2 won Pool D. Those 4 teams advance to the Gold Pool.
Laramie, Kemmerer, Renegades, and Riverton are in the Silver Pool. Mountain View, Salem Hills, Rifle, and Lyman are in the Bronze Pool. Worland, Rawlins, Rock Springs, and Wheatland are in the Copper Pool.

Cheyenne East is 5th with 86 team points. Sammy Sanchez, Kozad Porter, and Isaac Clay will wrestle in the semis.
Cowboy Classic in Miles City, MT = Cody, Thunder Basin.
Cody is 4th with 106.5 team points. Bobby Hernandez, William Wood, Alex Sitz, Kannon Grant, and Cinch Dalton will wrestle in the semis for the Broncs. Thunder Basin sits 5th with 97.5 team points after the first day. Lucas Stirling, Wyatt Mason, Breckin Henry, and Christian Bailey will wrestle in the semis for TB.

Shoshoni won their home event with 168 team points. The Wranglers had 2 champions in Peyton Arnold (105) and Brueklyn Truempler (140). Greybull/Riverside took 2nd, and Moorcroft finished 3rd.
Don Runner Memorial Wrestling Tournament in Pavillion at Wind River HS = Buffalo, Dubois, Glenrock, H.E.M., Lander, Wind River, Wyoming Indian.
Wind River had 4 champs in Aislynn Vroman (100-105), Lily Hill (120-125), Olivia Remacle (130), and Juana Hines (190-235). Team scores were not posted on TrackWrestling or FloWrestling.
Jerry Quinlan Memorial Duals in Casper at NCHS = Campbell County, Cheyenne East, Douglas, Kelly Walsh, Natrona County, Newcastle, Pinedale, Sheridan, Thunder Basin, Wright; Out-of-State: Moffat County (CO), Sturgis Brown (SD).
Sturgis Brown from South Dakota won Pool A at 5-0, and they beat Sheridan (who won Pool B) 48-33 for the title. Sheridan takes 2nd, and Pinedale finished 3rd.
Thoman Invitational in Green River = Green River, Kemmerer, Lyman, Mountain View, Rawlins, Riverton, Rock Springs, Wheatland, Worland; Out-of-State: Rifle (CO).
Rock Springs/Riverton finished 1st in the dual tournament. They defeated Lyman, Kemmerer, Worland/Wheatland, Rifle/Mountain View, and Green River in the 7 rounds of wrestling. Green River took 2nd, and Kemmerer was 3rd. Brown beat the Gold, 66-6, in the Best of the Best. Riley Meyer of Kemmerer and Sophie Meyer from Worland/Wheatland both registered 6 wins by pin. 6 different wrestlers scored 36 points for their team.
Cowgirl Invitational in Miles City, MT = Cody.
Cody tied for 13th with 65 team points. Ashten Hubbs was 2nd at 170.
Gering Invite in Gering, NE = Cheyenne South, Laramie, Lingle-Ft. Laramie/Southeast, Lusk, Upton.
Lingle-Ft. Laramie/Southeast took 3rd with 158 points. They had 2 champions, who included Ariana Posten at 105 and Hallie Fuller at 140. Upton placed 7th, Laramie was 11th, Lusk finished 13th, and South placed 14th.
Loveland Girls Invitational in Loveland, CO = Cheyenne Central.
Central finished 2nd with 104 points. The Indians had 2 champions in Olivia Hergert at 130 and Zuri Sanders at 135.
Skyview Girls Invitational in Thornton, CO = Torrington.
Torrington placed 15th with 33 team points. Catherine Hendricks won the title at 125!
Tiger Grizz Invitational in Idaho Falls, ID = Evanston, Jackson, Powell, Star Valley.
Star Valley placed 7th with 115.5 team points. Powell finished 10th, Evanston tied for 20th, and Jackson placed 42nd. Five Wyoming girls took 3rd in their bracket as the top finishers.

Cokeville won with 163 points. The Panthers had 3 champions in Mason Child at 132, Flint Linford at 165, and Kashton Walker at 190. Moorcroft took 2nd at 160, and Thermopolis was 3rd.
Don Runner Memorial Wrestling Tournament in Pavillion at Wind River HS = Buffalo, Dubois, Glenrock, H.E.M, Lander, Saratoga, Wind River, Wyoming Indian.
Glenrock finished with 10 first-place wrestlers across multiple division levels. Lander had 4 champs. No team scores were on TrackWrestling or FloWrestling.
Thoman Dual Tournament in Green River = Green River, Kemmerer, Laramie, Lyman, Mountain View, Pinedale, Rawlins, Riverton, Rock Springs, Wheatland, Worland; Out-of-State: Rifle (CO), Salem Hills (UT), Uintah (UT).
Green River finished 2nd in the Gold Pool behind Uintah, UT. Riverton won the Silver Pool, Salem Hills won the Bronze Pool, and Wheatland won the Copper Pool. The Gold beat the Brown, 39-33, in the Best of the Best match outcomes. Green River's Maddux Hintz had 3 tech falls. Kason Cahill of RS, Weston Ennist of Laramie, and Wylee Willson of Pinedale scored 30 points for their teams.
Trojan Border Wars in Casper at KWHS = Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Douglas, Kelly Walsh, Natrona County; Out-of-State: Gering (NE), Moffat County (CO), North Platte (NE), Rapid City Central (SD).
Natrona County wins the Trojan Border Wars. The Mustangs were 7-0 in the rounds of wrestling. Kelly Walsh was 3rd, Campbell County 6th, Douglas 7th, and Central 8th. KW's Parker Hill had the most pins with 7. Brodey Wilcox of NC and Hill scored 42 points for their teams.
Top of the Rockies Invitational in Lafayette, CO = Cheyenne East.
Cheyenne East placed 7th with 108 team points. The Thunderbirds' best finish was 3rd by Kozad Porter.
Cowboy Invitational in Miles City, MT = Cody, Thunder Basin.
Cody took 4th place with 191.5 team points. The Broncs were led by Bobby Hernandez, runner-up at 105, and Alex Sitz, runner-up at 175. Thunder Basin was 6th at 162.5 team points. The Bolts had a champ at 126 in Lucas Stirling.
Skyview Invitational at Thornton, CO = Torrington.
Torrington took 3rd with 135 points, and had one champion in Ty Albaugh at 150.
Tiger Grizz Invitational in Idaho Falls, ID = Evanston, Jackson, Star Valley.
Star Valley's Tel Parry took 1st at 144. The Braves finished 14th with 97 points. Evanston placed 27th, and Jackson was 41st.
