Cheyenne Woman Wanted for Child Abuse Turns Herself In

Just two days after being added to the Laramie County Sheriff's Office's "Most Wanted" list, an alleged child abuser has turned herself in.

According to a booking sheet, 40-year-old Cheyenne resident Ebony Chantel Thomas turned herself in at the Sheriff's Office at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 18.

Thomas is being held on a Laramie County Circuit Court warrant for felony child abuse.

The warrant was signed by Judge Thomas Lee on Jan. 5, 2024.

Thomas is scheduled to make her initial appearance in Circuit Court this afternoon, Jan. 19, at 1:30 p.m.

Thomas is the second fugitive on the list to turn herself in this week.

Felipita Ann Maldonado, who was being sought on a Circuit Court warrant for felony motor vehicle theft, turned herself in on Tuesday, Jan. 16.

UPDATE: Thomas Out of Jail After Posting Bond

Thomas made her initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Friday afternoon, Jan. 19, during which her bond was set at $10,000 at 10%.

She posted bond and is scheduled to be back in court next Friday, Jan. 26 at 9:45 a.m. for her preliminary hearing.

Deputies are still looking for Gilbert Martinez and Gina Scott, who have been on the new list since it was released on Sept. 29, 2023; Akmir Brown and Jennifer Davidson, who were added to the list on Nov. 9; Justina Lopez and Charles Swank, who were added to the list on Dec. 11; Samantha C. Sherlock and Gregory T. Svitavsky, who were added to the list on Dec, 28; and Halana C. Schlosser who was added to the list on Dec. 29.
