Planning The Ultimate Grand Teton Summer Getaway
I've been to Grand Teton National Park several times but haven't seen everything I'd like to see. I've seen moose in Moose, elk on the Elk Refuge, and a bison jam near Buffalo Fork.
My wife, on the other hand, hasn't been so lucky. She's lived in Casper for 2 1/2 years and doesn't believe that elk are real. Even though there is elk meat in our freezer, since she hasn't seen one, they're not real. We even stopped to look at the Elk Refuge but still had no luck.
Usually, our trips are day trips, and we're rushing to see as much as possible. This summer, I'm making it a priority to help her see an elk. Plus, there's so much more on my bucket list, and this summer, I plan to check off some of those items.
Here are some items we've put on our list of things to do in the Tetons.
- Hike Jenny Lake Trail
- Sunrise at Schwabacher Landing
- Float on Snake River
- Explore Mormon Row
- Boat ride on Jackson Lake
- Visit Teton Village
- Ride the tram "Big Red" to the top of the mountain
- Search for wildlife
With the help of YouTube and other social media platforms, you can get excellent ideas of things you need to see when visiting Grand Teton National Park or Yellowstone National Park.
