A couple driving a Jeep are now both critically injured after they rolled their Jeep 450 feet down a mountain near Telluride Saturday.

It took five hours and more than 35 people to rescue the 72-year-olds, the San Miguel County Sheriff’s Office said.

The couple was critically injured, and they were taken to Telluride Medical Center and then flown to St. Mary's Hospital.

“It’s believed the incident occurred some time before the wife was able to call to 911,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
