The fourth speaker in Glenrock Library’s sustainability series is Jennifer Bledso, local mother and homemaker with a wealth of knowledge in canning and preserving food. She’ll share her canning know how and a few tasty treats at the library on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 6 p.m.
A graduate of Casper College where she studied Agriculture & Business, Bledsoe has preserved her own food at home for more than a decade. Passionate about sustainable food production and preservation, Bledsoe will explain how to reduce waste, plan meals and organize the pantry. She’ll show everyone how to stretch the family budget and make the most of fresh food from the home garden, grocery store or farmer’s market. For Bledso, it’s all about a return to the community spirit of yesteryear, working and growing together to make the most out of a sustainable local economy.
All lectures are free, open to the public and suitable for all ages. Refreshments will be served. For more information please contact the library at 307-436-2573.
