The Surprising Kitchen Trends Shaping Wyoming Homes Today
If you've ever caught yourself going on Zillow and browsing the listings to see what other people's houses look like, you're not alone. Many of us are dreamers, and some are just looking for inspiration.
My wife is a baker, so the kitchen is an essential room for her. We spend a lot of time passing kitchen pictures back and forth to collect ideas about what we'd like to have one day. Most of the kitchens she REALLY enjoys are in homes that are priced over $1 million.
Yeah, she has expensive tastes.
When I think back to my grandma's kitchen, it wasn't anything special. It had a table in the middle, an olive green stove and refrigerator, a pantry, and a sink. I'm not saying it wasn't an important room in the house; it was the center point, and nothing was overly special about it.
A new study from the kitchenware experts at Henckels shows that my wife and I are not alone in our kitchen searches. I never thought I was a trend follower, but I guess I am.
The Farmhouse Kitchen is our favorite kitchen design. Our ideal features are rustic cabinets and floors, cutting-board countertops, and a deep farmhouse sink. This kitchen style complements the rustic Wyoming feel perfectly.
The study by Henckels proves that we're kitchen trend followers. Out of the top 35 kitchen designs Googled and Instagram hashtags, Farmhouse Kitchen's reign supreme is not close.
Our kitchen design of choice has over 23.2 million Instagram hashtags and is searched 30,373 times per month on Google. Second place, Industrial Kitchens, was searched for just under 4,000 fewer Google searches per month.
If you're looking to change things up or are beginning the process of building your dream home, consider these kitchen design options.
