If you're a motorcycle rider, you're probably always thinking about your next ride. You plan around the weather; if the sun is out and it's over 40, you brave the chill to get some road time.

Wyoming has a short riding window most years, but when it does open, it's wide open. There are long stretches of road and plenty of map-dot destinations to discover.

Wyoming has over 25,000 registered motorcycles; during the summer, people from all over the country and the world ride here. It's estimated that nearly 400,000 bikers roll through the Cowboy State during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Many riders will ride daily from South Dakota, around Wyoming, and into Montana. That's a lot of bikes heading in all different directions so they can see as much as possible.

If you're one of the over 25,000 Wyoming bikes, a Wyoming rider's challenge is which way to point your bike and ride. There are so many trips you can take. Some are day trips, some multiple-day trips, and if you're really ambitious, you can make it a multiple-week trip.

I found the Top 10 Wyoming motorcycle rides from The Advocates. Honestly, you could hop into the family minivan and take these same trips. One of the things I love about Wyoming is all of the options.

This list ranks the ride routes from 10 to 1, but I don't know if you can say that one is better than the next. I can tell you that I've been on most of these routes, and they are incredible. There are only two routes on the list I haven't been on, but those will be crossed off this year.

Happy riding!
