The Natrona County Democratic Party will hold its caucus and convention at the Casper Events Center on Saturday, April 9, according to a news release.

The party changed the location from Casper College because of the record number of anticipated attendees.

All Democratic Party county organizations hold their caucuses and conventions on April 9 to elect delegates and alternates to the state convention on May 28. At the state convention, delegates are selected to attend the national convention in Philadelphia from July 25-28, according to the state party.

The doors for the Natrona County Democratic Party will open at 8:30 a.m., and the caucus process will commence at 11 a.m. All attendees are urged to pre-register for the caucus at www.wyodems.org.

Attendees can buy $15 tickets to a luncheon hosted by the Democratic Women's Forum at the Casper Petroleum Club at 1 p.m. University of Wyoming political science associate professor Andrew Garner will speak about voter turnout. After lunch, the party will reconvene to revise the platform.

After the caucus and convention, the party will host The Democratic Party Party at the Caddie Shack at the Casper Municipal Golf Course at 7 p.m. Local candidates for state House and Senate seats will be introduced and make stump speeches.
