LARAMIE -- The Wyoming Cowboys earned a Mountain West Weekly award for the third-straight week, as quarterback Andrew Peasley was named the conference’s Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after leading the Cowboys in 24-19 a win over No. 24 Fresno State on Saturday.

He was also named to the Davey O’Brien Great 8 Monday for week six of the college football season.

"Andrew Peasley was in really good poised position and his reads were great," Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl said. "He utilized his legs, receivers were on point and some of the passes were pinpoint. There were a couple laser strikes, some finesse balls ... I thought his performance Saturday night, you know, was a breakout performance. He has been good, but, I mean, one of those throws -- it was like (an NFL) throw. I mean, a laser. So, it was great to see."

It is the third time that Peasley has earned the award in his career after doing so against Tulsa last season. He also garnered the honor in his time at Utah State in a win over New Mexico.

Peasley tied a career-high with three touchdown passes in a win over the Bulldogs. He finished the contest 19-of-27, as he completed 70 percent of his passes for the second highest percentage of his career in the Brown and Gold. In his last two games, Peasley has completed 35-of-52 passes for 67 percent and four touchdowns.

He helped lead the Cowboys to 24 points in the first half on their way to their second win this season over a ranked opponent. The Cowboys recorded a season-high 27 first downs in the contest with 22 coming in the first half.
