Mark Dym and Kristy Latorraca Dym along with their Casper owners Art and Lynette Boatright and John and Lauren Griffith have opened a pizzeria that celebrates the tradition of fine Neapolitan pizza. Mark and Kim own and operate three other locations in Colorado including one in Englewood, one in Lakewood and one in lower downtown Denver by Coors Field. The Ball Park location is the one that has brought the Racca's brand to many and has driven area residents to vote it Denver's best pizzeria in both Westword and 5280 magazine and now the Oil City has a brand new Racca's in downtown Casper.

On Wednesday August 10th a much anticipated opening will happen at 430 South Ash, just next door to Art 321. Located in an old fruit warehouse along a long abandoned rail line, the atmosphere has a great aged feel that works well with the contemporary art and open kitchen and imported pizza ovens. The ovens themselves were hand built in Italy, with ash from Mt Vesuvius and brought to Casper. They are fueled with Hickory wood and heated to a temperature of 925 degrees to cook a pizza in 60-90 seconds.

The food is true Neapolitan with an antipasto of cured meats and imported cheeses, salads that are made fresh with crisp greens, fresh fruits and vegetables as well as the cheeses and meats and the pizzas that are so traditional that they have received the coveted VPN certification which requires strict adherence to the culinary discipline of the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana. They have sandwiches, desserts, specialty coffees, brunch pizzas and lunch selections as well. They also carry a selection of gluten free fare for those that need it. You can see their menu HERE.

Reservations are accepted and you will find them 11AM-10PM Sun-Thursday and 11AM-11PM on Fridays and Saturdays.
