#3 - POLE-ING THE VOTERS

AN UN-HAPPY MEAL

A British girl who was rushed to the hospital after collapsing at school was found to have overdosed on Chicken McNuggets!

17-year-old Stacey Irvine has eaten McNuggets every day for the past 15 years, and admits she's never touched fruit or greens -- a diet that resulted in her developing anemia and swollen veins in her tongue.

Despite the fact that she needed to be held in intensive care and given intravenous vitamins to counteract the damage, she's not about to nix the nuggets.

Stacey says, "I first tasted chicken nuggets when my mum took me to McDonald's when I was two. I loved them so much I just couldn't face even trying other foods. Mum gave up giving me anything else years ago."

TURKEY TROT...THROUGH THE LIBRARY

Cops got word that there was a trespasser breaking into a South Dakota library looking to gobble up information and responded to the call only to find that the intruder was actually a wild turkey!

The prowling poultry broke a window on his way in and apparently panicked, flying around the entire library, leaving his calling card in the form of splattered droppings along the way. Two officers captured the 20-pound bird unharmed by placing a blanket over his head and hauling him outside.

The head librarian noted that one spot in the building remained untouched, saying, "One thing we noticed is that he did not go down the aisle with the cookbooks in it."

POLE-
ING THE VOTERS

A mayoral election in Italy will be decided by the poles, and not the polls, because the two main candidates are planning a pole-dancing contest as part of the campaign.

Amandha Fox and Luana Borgia, both of whom have worked in the adult film industry, are vying to be mayor of the town of Taranto. While the pair faces other opposition, they're the only ones to accept the offer to reveal their positions in public.

Ms. Fox says she's happy to take part, noting, "I want voters to see the real me."
