What an AMAZING night at our September 11th Thankful Thursday!  We paid tribute to those 343 firefighters who've paid the ultimate sacrifice back in 2001 and said goodbye to a brother firefighter in Casper.

Even with the tears flowing, you could feel the the love in the room for our area firefighters at Thankful Thursday as we raised $22,111 to benefit the Firefighter Combat Challenge Team and the Help a Brother Fund which supports Firefighters in need.

We paid tribute to those brave firefighters who rushed into the World Trace Center towers on that fateful day back in 2001.  We also said goodbye to Captain Jeff Atkinson of Fire Station 5, who lost his battle with cancer and left us early on Thursday morning.

Jeff was a friend to many and an inspiration to all.  Captain Atkinson was a man that would set aside his own needs and concerns to help fellow community members in need regardless of the situation.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and showed their love and support on a wet and snowy night.  It was truly amazing!!  Thank you doesn't seem to say enough as it was It was truly amazing!!

With last night's fundraising completed, we have now raised a Grand Total of over $480k for charities that mean a lot to those of us here in Natrona County and the surrounding communities.

Next week we will be supporting the Natrona County High School's Angels Fund and we hope to see you there starting at 5pm next Thursday afternoon.

Thankful Thursdays!

We want to invite you to be a part of the biggest happy hour party in the state, each Thursday!! Make plans to join us each week, as My Country 95.5 will be at the Beacon Club to support charities near and dear to the hearts of our community. We’ll also be raising money for our local charity each week in several ways. We’ll raise money with a 50/50 raffle, there will be a live auction and raffle items, donations and best of all – we’ll have a lot of fun doing it each week.

Did I mention that we are going to try and giveaway $500 Cash every week?

Indeed we will, in fact over the course of the next several months we hope to giveaway the $500 prize several times. How will we do this? It’s as simple as the song “99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall”, except instead of bottles of beer – we’ll have bottles of prizes and one lucky bottle will contain a $500 Cash prize. We’ll actually start with 95 bottles of prizes (numbered for My Country 95.5) and each week we’ll give nine lucky contestants a chance to draw out one bottle each and whatever prize they find inside the bottle they choose – that prize is theirs to keep! Each week, we’ll remove more bottles as we give them away, (65, 64, 63, 62, etc…) until we giveaway the Grand Prize of $500 dollars. Once the Grand Prize bottle is found, we will reload all 95 bottles with prizes the following week and start over again. Oh, I guess there is one small catch. You Can’t Win, If You’re Not There!!

Come join Rodeo Rick and My Country 95.5 for a live broadcast each Thursday from 5-7 PM from the famous Beacon Club. We’ll have tons of drink specials, including 50 cent drafts in addition to 2 for 1 drinks, free samples from liqueur distributors and some awesome auction items from Western Distributing, Coors Brewing Company and more! Plus you’ll never know what other surprises might be in store each week!!

Grab your friends and co-workers and make plans now to join us each and every Thursday at the Beacon Club for Thankful Thursdays!!

(You must be at least 21 years old to participate, but this event at the Beacon is open to all ages - serving food until 9 pm. Western Distributing, Coors Brew Company, The Beacon Club and My Country 95.5 encourage everyone to drink responsibly!)
