The second of two homeless men accused of burglarizing and burning a house in north Casper in late May pleaded not guilty and not guilty by reason of mental illness or deficiency on Friday.

Isaiah Lorenzo Montiano-Like, who was 19 when he was arrested, entered the pleas during his arraignment before Natrona County District Court Judge Thomas Sullins.

Like and his alleged accomplice Stacy Clark were arrested on June 1 and each charged with burglary and first-degree arson. They each could face up to 30 years in prison if convicted on both counts.

During the arraignment Friday, Like sometimes seemed confused and his public defender Kerri Johnson often spoke to him before he answered Sullins' questions.

After Sullins accepted the plea, he granted Johnson's request to have Like undergo a mental evaluation.

On Tuesday, Clark, 46, pleaded not guilty to the charges during his arraignment

He and Like remain in custody on $200,000 cash or surety bonds.

According to court records, the Casper Fire Department on May 31 responded to a fire on North Jefferson Street, and extinguished flames originating in the home's basement.

Video surveillance allegedly shows Clark and Like enter the home through a window, and later exit carrying a flat-screen television, a set of golf clubs and other items. Five minutes later, the video reportedly shows smoke coming from the house.

A police officer found the men at an address on East Collins at about 3:20 a.m. They were interviewed separately at the Casper Police Department.

Like allegedly admitted to going into the home through a window, but denied setting any fires. He reportedly said he couldn't remember portions of that night.
