The old saloon at The Virginian in Medicine Bow, Wyoming, was famous before the novel, the movie, or the TV show made it mainstream.

But the interstates have bypassed the old town and now the old hotel, though still grand, looks a little tired.

Still, you can go have dinner there and enjoy a drink at the bar, if you are so inclined.

The last time I was there I had a friend of mine take some pictures of the old saloon. I only wish I had someone there to tell me the story behind each and every item in the place.

If you ever visit, and I hope you do, take your time to look at everything, and see how many bullet holes you can find.
