Seth Ockinga Of Natrona County Sentenced For Probation Violation In Sex Crime Case
A Natrona County man who admitted to having a sexual encounter with a minor is headed back to prison after committing another sex crime while he was out on probation.
Seth Ockinga was sentenced to eight to 10 years in prison after he admitted to violating his probation in a case where he pleaded guilty to one charge of second degree sexual abuse of a minor.
He was originally sentenced to eight to 15 years in prison, and was given a boot camp recommendation. He completed the boot camp program, so the remainder of his sentence was suspended and he was placed on five years of probation.
While he was on probation, an agent searched Ockinga's phone in December and found sexually explicit photos of children and adults.
It was also discovered that he had contact with two children without permission from his agent or sex therapist. Ockinga also faces two new charges out of Platte County for sexual exploitation of children.
In the original case, witnesses and victims told investigators that between December 2013 and March 2014, Ockinga hosted a number of parties and provided alcohol to minors at those parties.
At least one victim said Ockinga had sex with them. That victim allowed police to record a phone call between themselves and Ockinga.
During the conversation, Ockinga asked if the victim got rid of various sexual photos. Ockinga also asked whether anyone talked about he and the victim having sex. He said if so, he was going to deny it.
