Smoky Conditions In Wyoming Persist, May Cause Health Concerns [VIDEO]
Smoke from the Western wildfires is continuing to settle into Wyoming, and may cause health concerns for some folks.
Meteorologist Don Day Jr. of Day Weather says we can expect the smoke to linger and be very noticeable through Friday, although it will be variable and come through in "patches" so we may see some periods where it may thin out a bit.
Day says we should see some improvement over the weekend, especially on Sunday into Monday when a cool front is expected to move through and push out some of the smoke.
Meantime, health officials say it may be best to limit your time outdoors. Patients with allergies, asthma, and lung disease may face more danger from the smoke, and exhibit symptoms including shortness of breath, chest tightness, wheezing, and increased coughing. Even healthy people may have symptoms ranging from eye irritation to difficulty breathing.
