Some students who oppose the Natrona County School District's new dress code intend to speak to board members at the bimonthly meeting at 7: 30 p.m. today.

Two weeks ago, students said they first learned of the dress code when they saw a video produced for the district that illustrated what is and what is not appropriate.

One student started the Facebook site, "Defiance against Natrona County dress code," which now has more than 2,400 members.

One member had this advice for those who intend to speak during the public comment session at the beginning of the meeting: "Remember to be polite and use as much factual evidence as you can. You can't make a good argument with nothing but your opinion."

Some students posting on the site are vowing to protest the new rules by wearing what they want on the first day of school, which is Sept. 2.

For his part, Kelly Walsh Principal Brad Diller said he will abide by the new rules and enforce them.

The other major discussion for the evening will concern the proposed Guild Charter School at the board of trustees' work session at 6 p.m.
