Many Wyoming motorists and residents have been urged to use caution with extremely high water in the northern and central parts of the state. US 26 between Dubois and Riverton has also been closed.
“Conditions are very dangerous at this time,” says Burton. “People shouldn’t float when the river is this high. It will drop soon; wait until then for your float trip.”

According to the National Weather Service, campers and outdoor recreationists headed to the mountains this weekend need to be aware and watch for rapid water rises.
It was just a few years back that Glendo Reservoir was so full, camping there was barely possible. This year, with the amount of water in the North Platte Drainage, it appears that Glendo could reach flood levels once again.
